People Helping People
The Beginning

After 42 years an American Veteran returned to Vietnam in January 2010 to keep the promise he made to the Vietnamese people when he departed in 1968.
That promise was: “I will return”…
He returned to give back to the people for their actions that had made possible the life he has known in America.
So began “People Helping People” 2010

East meets West 2010
Providing 22 lb bags of rice for the upcoming Tet holiday.

Founder and Co-Founder, Ms. Phi

We gave 100 22lb bags of rice and boxes of dried noodles Jan 26, 2019 for Tet Holiday.
Collection Boxes Story:
For 9 1/2 years most of our outside
contributions have come from tourists dining in Ms. Phi's restaurant. They come from all parts of the world.
Upon seeing our story and photos of our work, many are intrigued by what they see and read. Donation boxes make it easy for them to become a part of us.
On occasion there are those who desire to contribute and experience hands-on one of our missions. More than 5 couples have been returning to Vietnam regularly to participate and they are now a part of our family.

We primarily work with the underprivileged of Quang Nam province and ethnic minorities in the mountains. Logistics at times makes
backpacking supplies in to the needy necessary.
