People Helping People

Our mission as a 501(c)3 Nonprofit is to provide necessities of food and warmth to disadvantaged people of Quang Nam province, Vietnam.

A non-profit, not-political group of Hoi An expats have been helping the poor and needy here for many years.  This has been done out of our own pockets.  Now we are asking you to be involved in our mission.

We are guided by the Quang Nam Government and our Vietnamese counterpart, Ms. Phi from Bao Han restaurant in Cua Dai.

They decide the village & people to whom our support is distributed to.

Out support is given in basic necessities such as blankets and food,

as well as school supplies for school children.

No money is given.

All of the money raised is used to buy these necessities and

to pay for transport of goods where necessary.

We will always continue our work for years to come

and with your assistance we can help many more.

Thank you for your support.

"This is our twenty plus Hoi An Family of local volunteers of the past nine years.

Without their enduring, sometimes arduous support of our missions it would

be very difficult to carry them out.

They took me in as family and without them we could never have

accomplished what we have to date."

Elrod Sims, Founder

"I returned to Vietnam in 2018 to visit Elrod Sims, my old friend of many years. I saw first hand the work he and Ms. Phi have accomplished.  What I witnessed was the fact that Sims had gained the trust of local village leaders.  They know his heart as well as his love and dedication to the Vietnamese people.  He has been recognized by the Vietnamese govt for his unselfish efforts in helping local citizens with limited means to receive needed food items     and necessities to help them get by.

By telling his story about his dream of helping people less fortunate in Quang Nam, he has enlisted the help of many others, who for years have given of their time and treasure in making this dream a reality.

Sims has lived amont the Vietnamese people for nearly 10 years.

He's not a man behind a desk in some other country,

but a man on the ground getting things done.

He's a man of action.
